Silent discos in Seattle

Every warm summer weekend, in the fray of beach bonfires and barbecues exists my silent disco. Equipped with 20 sets of wireless headphones and two radio transmitters, I mix music on the beach. With just the right curiosity, you may find yourself a part of something special.

How it works

Pick up a pair of my headphones. Wear those headphones. Dance!

I run silent discos a little differently. They’re always:

Free, with donations accepted.
With a live DJ (vibe checks necessary.)
A safe space.

Vulnerability is a strength

In the midst of hundreds of beachgoers, a random dance party attracts both curious and judging eyes.

Vulnerability of the participants is what makes silent disco special. This vulnerability leads to more love, fun and memories. If you are brave enough to be the first to dance alongside me – thank you, beautiful! But it won’t be long until you’re surrounded by others joining the movement and all headphones are borrowed.

Go with the flow

People go to the club and find a curated vibe. People go to the beach and find… a silent disco. (?)

At a silent disco, you never know who you’ll meet. But, especially with music, diversity is the gift that keeps giving. EDM, hip-hop or even meditative sounds fill your ears, depending on the crowd. Check out a few sample vibes here!
